United Water Restoration Group of Central Florida operates this website for the Ocala, Gainesville and Melbourne areas. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and who else can see it.
We are a restoration contractor, not an advertising business. We collect contact details so we can respond to a property emergency and handle the claim that usually follows — not to build a profile of you or to sell to anyone.
Information You Give Us
When you submit a form on this site we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you selected, anything you typed into the message field, and which page you were on when you sent it. That last item is not tracking you around the internet — it tells our office which city and which service you were reading about so the right crew calls you back.
When you call us, we collect your phone number and whatever you tell us about the property and the loss. If a call is recorded for quality or training, you will be told at the beginning of that call.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the general geographic area your connection comes from, and the site or search that sent you here.
This is collected through Google Analytics. It is used in aggregate — to see which service pages people actually read and which markets they come from — and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.
Phone Numbers and Call Tracking
The phone numbers shown on this site are call-tracking numbers, and each market has its own. They ring the same office as our published lines. Their purpose is to tell us whether a call came from this website, from Google, or from another source, so we know where to spend our advertising budget.
The call-tracking service records the calling number, the time and length of the call, and which source it came from. It does not read your messages or access anything else on your phone.
Advertising and Cookies
We advertise on Google. Cookies set by Google may be used to measure whether an ad led to a call or a form submission, and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. You can turn off personalised advertising in your Google account settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Blocking cookies does not stop you from using this site or from contacting us. It only affects our ability to measure which advertising worked.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We do share it in three ordinary situations. First, with the service providers who run parts of this operation on our behalf — analytics, call tracking, email delivery and the software our office uses to schedule and document jobs — each of which is only permitted to use it to provide that service to us. Second, with your insurance carrier and adjuster when we are working a claim on your property, because that is how a claim gets paid. Third, when the law requires it.
We are part of the United Water Restoration Group franchise network. Your information stays with this franchise and its providers unless you ask us to involve the wider network.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept while they are still useful to follow up, and then removed. Records tied to work we actually performed are kept for as long as the job file, the warranty on that work and our insurance and tax obligations require. In practice that is a period of years, not months.
If you would like us to delete an enquiry that did not become a job, ask and we will.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can ask to stop receiving email from us at any time, and every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link.
To make any of these requests, call the office or use the contact page. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site is intended for property owners, managers and tenants. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes and How to Reach Us
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will update this page and change the date below.
